Maureen Denise Peebles, born on August 5, 1953, in Kitchener, ON, Canada, peacefully passed away on December 8, 2025, in Jacksonville, FL. A beloved wife to her husband, Mark Peebles, Maureen's spirit and warmth touched everyone who knew her.
Maureen leaves behind her son, James Hart of Miami, and step-daughters Nicki Peebles-Brewer (Joshua) of Atlanta, and Julianne Peebles (Scott) in Boone, NC., her brothers, Allen McCarley (Isabel) in Fredericksburg Va, and John Musselman (Barbara) in Goldsboro, NC., and a sister, Pat Strohofer (John) in Jacksonville, FL.
Maureen found joy in her work, fostering lasting relationships with both colleagues and customers alike. Beyond her professional life, Maureen had a deep passion for travel, taking the time to explore new places and create cherished memories with her loved ones.
In her leisure time, Maureen enjoyed working on puzzles and found immense satisfaction in her crochet projects. Walking on the beach brought her peace, and she often delighted in the company of her beloved Yorkies, cherishing the joy they brought into her life. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Maureen remember her infectious laughter and her generous spirit.
Maureen leaves behind a legacy of love and joy that will be celebrated by all who crossed her path. As the community gathers to honor her memory, we look forward to sharing stories, laughter, and the beautiful moments that defined her incredible life.
Maureen was preceded in death by her father, Harold Musselman, and her mother, Sophia Brown.
