Maureen Tarulli Obituary
in West Islip, New York,
Maureen was the beloved daughter of Edward and
Jacqueline Maguire. She graduated from St. John the Baptist High School and went on to earn her bachelor's degree from SUNY Westbury. On July 24, she married the love of her life, Michael P. Tarulli. Together they built a beautiful life centered on love, family, and shared adventures. Maureen dedicated her professional life to education, working as a devoted first-grade teacher at Ridge Elementary School, where she left a lasting impact on countless young lives.
Maureen had a deep love for travel, a keen eye for birdwatching, and found her greatest joy in the presence of her grandchildren. Her warmth, curiosity, and generous spirit will be remembered by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael, and her cherished sons, Eric (Marina) and Michael (Tera) Tarulli. She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren: Caleigh, Luca, Jack, Kai, Gail, and Ryan; as well as her dear siblings Timothy, Michael, and Mary Kathryn. Memorial Visitation will be held at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy., on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick's Church in Bay Shore, NY. Maureen's legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for her family and students will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

There is so little one can say, but our hearts goes to you Mike and family. We were so shocked to hear of Maureen's passing. She was always so full of life and such fun to share our retirement in Naples.
I will always remember our beach days together and consignment excursions. Buying stuff we really did not need but it was the thrill of the hunt. Your home was always welcoming to us to enjoy a cocktail before heading out to dinner. I will miss my dear friend and will fondly remember the memories we had through the years.
