Maureen "Fogarty" Wasilewski

Known as 'Miss Maureen' to thousands of Nutley students Maureen "Fogarty" Wasilewski, (age 88), of Bayville, NJ, died on September 14, 2022. Born in Belleville, NJ, she lived most of her life in Nutley, NJ before retiring to Bayville, NJ. Affectionately known as "Miss Maureen" to thousands of students, she owned and operated Miss Maureen's School of Dance and Gymnastic World, Inc., both well known community staples in Nutley. She was an active communicant of St. Barnabas Church in Bayville, serving the church and local nursing homes as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, member of the Altar Rosary Society and committed volunteer to the food pantry. Maureen was predeceased by her husband Warren and son Robert. She is survived by her sons John and Donald, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11am on Tuesday, Oct. 11th, at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Road, Bayville, NJ 08721.
