Maureen Weidenkopf, 78, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 13, 1947, in Syracuse, New York, to Charles Welsh and Vera Schultz.

Maureen lived a life dedicated to service, spending many years as a special needs teacher, where she touched the lives of countless children and families. Her compassionate spirit, patience, and dedication made her a beloved figure in her community.

She married Nick Weidenkopf, and the two shared 57 years of love and partnership. Together, they raised two sons, one residing in Virginia and the other in Colorado. Maureen's family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in her honor on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM at St. Monica Catholic Church, located at 9933 Midway Rd, Dallas, Texas. A burial will follow at 2:00 PM at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
