Maurice united with Smith Chapel A.M.E Church at an early age. Maurice attended Woodland High School. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Larcenia and Maurice Bluitt; brother, Therion Joe Bluitt; sisters, Mattie Busby (Robert Busby) and Billie Jean Brewer (Pete).
He leaves to mourn his homegoing: Corene Shed (Longtime Companion); children, Maurice Bluitt III, Grace Stafford, Lawanda Robertson (Willie Robertson),Winter Bluitt (Danny Watkins) Patricia Minafee, Delores Bluitt Anderson and Monica Bluitt; sister, Celester Hemphill (Waymon Hemphill); twenty grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
