We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Robert Lee Bluitt, fondly known as Rob, born on August 27, 1964, in Vineland, NJ. As a compassionate and loving individual, Robert left a mark on every life he touched. His dedication was evident in everything he pursued, including his 32-year career as a truck driver. The open road was his canvas, and his truck, his brush, as he painted a life of meaningful connections and unforgettable experiences. Robert's creativity was not confined to his work, as he found joy in the simple pleasures of life and had a knack for making ordinary moments extraordinary.
Robert's life was guided by his deep and abiding faith in Christ. His passion for spirituality led him to Philadelphia Bible College where he earned a degree in Theology. He served as a Youth Minister at Shiloh Baptist Church in Port Norris, NJ, in his early years. Robert's commitment to guiding and mentoring the youth served as a beacon of hope, helping them navigate the challenges of adolescence while deepening their relationship with God. He found joy in the verse from Matthew 5:16, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Above all, Robert treasured his family. His daughters, Quasheema (Kurtis) and Leteisha, were the apple of his eye, and his grandchildren, Shayla, Micah, and Zion, were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Samentha Smith-Young, his father, Robert Bluitt, his sister, Cynthia Bluitt, his uncle, Clifford Williams, his aunt, Madeline Williams, and his significant other, Nichole Gretchell. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Bluitt, and his siblings, Loretta and Sinclair Bluitt.
We invite you all to share your cherished memories of Robert, and upload photos to the memorial page. Let us honor Robert's legacy by remembering the love and joy he brought into our lives. His light will forever shine in our hearts.
