Maurice "Reecy" Dragg

Maurice Dragg was born on October 6, 1958, in Knoxville, TN. He went to be with the lord on June 29, 2022, at 4:45 p.m. Maurice was preceded in death by beloved mother, Deaconess Johnnie Blake, father Grover M. Dragg Sr., grandmother Reverend Maggie Williams, uncle Willie Darnell Blake, aunts Reolla (Carl) Davis, and Helen Blake, son Milik DuBose, cousins Joyce Brown, Tyrone Moore, William Blake, Sherri Blake, and Dominick Blake.
He is survived by devoted sister Elder LaGail Whitaker, wife Myra Dragg, son Kevin Dragg, daughter Myesha DuBose, son Reno Turner, grandchildren Kevin Dragg Jr., Kalaysia Dragg, and Jayanah Mapp.
He leaves to cherish his memory, spiritual family "Grandmother" Deaconess E. Jackson, dear friends Lewis Smith, Jeffery Minor, the late Lonnie Minor, Marie Dailey, James (Debrorah) Blunt, the family, including a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special thanks to Minster Israel (Alice) Gadson, Elder Frankie Slay, Bishop Gary (Frenchie) Wright, Reverend Ann Upton, Bishop Franklin (Phyllis) Bourn, Deacon James (Carolyn) Newman, Aunt Evelyn, (Danny) Coats, Julia Nesbit, Jasmine Tyson, and Crystal Hicks, Kenny Wright, Tyrone Moore Sr., Trunda Brown and many others too numerous to name, for their love and support.
Friday, July 08, 2022, public may view from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Homegoing Celebration to follow at House of God, 2334 Parkview Ave, Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings required. Elder Nicole Walker, Pastor. Interment at New Gray Cemetery, 2724 Western Avenue, Knoxville, TN, where a white dove release will conclude the service.
