Maurine Katherine Haupert

Maurine Katherine Haupert, 98, of Urbana Indiana died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor North in Wabash. She was born February 22, 1912 in Urbana, Indiana to George and Matilda (Rautenkranz) Maurer. Maurine married Mryval E. Haupert in Rochester, Indiana on September 10, 1939. He died on December 8, 1995. She was a 1930 Urbana High School graduate and worked for Heckman Bindery in North Manchester. She was also an Avon representative. Maurine was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Urbana. She enjoyed gardening and wintering in Florida. She is survived by 2 daughters, Nancy (Steve) Anderson and Hilda (Gary) Wilcox both of Urbana; 5 Grandchildren, Tracy (Eric) Bostwick of Urbana, Amy (Scott) Poole of Lagro, Indiana, Valerie (Jason) Altman, Melissa Wilcox, and Shane Wilcox all of Urbana; 8 great-grandchildren, Morgan Peas of Urbana, Cooper Bostwick of Wabash, Hannah Poole and Taylor Poole of Lagro, Cody White, Carson White, Haley Altman, and Eric Altman all of Urbana, Indiana. She was preceded in death by by her brother Maurice Maurer and her sister Mabel Hall. Graveside services will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery, Urbana on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Myers officiating. Preferred memorial is St. Peter's Cemetery Fund.
