Maurine C. Winsor, 77, of Smithfield Utah passed away peacefully July 13, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 13, 1948 in Logan to Opal and Norman Christensen. She grew up in Trenton and graduated from Sky View High School in 1966. She served an LDS mission in Argentina from 1969 to 1971. She graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1972. She married Victor T. Winsor in the Logan Utah Temple on December 15, 1972. They were married for 52 years and had 7 children. She worked as a school teacher before giving birth to her first born son. She then devoted her time to raising her children. When her children were raised she worked at the Logan hospital before serving a full time mission in Birmingham Alabama with her husband from 2011 to 2013.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, canning, sewing, singing, playing the piano, doing genealogy, and providing church service. She was also a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband Victor T. Winsor, her children William (Melissa), Nathan, Samuel (Tara), Aaron (Kayleigh), Serena (Michael Shiverdecker), Theron (Naomi), 26 grandchildren, one great grandchild on the way; and her siblings Norman Gene, Carl, Naomi (Boyd Christiansen), and Lavell (Allyson) . She was preceded in death by her parents Opal, and Norman Christensen, as well as her son Daniel.
The viewing and funeral will be held at the 660 West 200 North Smithfield Utah LDS church house. The viewing will be held 10:00am July 18, 2025 and the funeral will be held 12:00pm the same day.
