Max “Bill” William Bennett, 69, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Sunday night, March 29, 2026 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born March 20, 1957, in Newark, Ohio, he was a son of the late Max Elton and Sadie Mary (Burge) Bennett and a 1967 graduate of Licking County Joint Vocational School. Bill retired from Ohio Steel Industries in 2020 and was a member of the Fallsburg Horseshoe League. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping and fishing.
Bill is survived by his wife, Ann H. (Hinton) Bennett whom he married February 27, 1984; two daughters, Christina (Gage) Maidon of Lima, Ohio and Victoria Bennett of Newport Richey, Florida; one son, Max William Bennett, Jr.; eight grandchildren, Katlyn (Tyler) Park, Miah (Trever) Binkley, Dylan Binkley, Emily Anne Marie Fogle, Cadrick Ellis, Serena Chapman, Phyllis Chapman, and Julian Bennett and one brother, Lanson C. Bennett.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Mary Weltman, Betty Manford, Todd Coble, Esther Decker, Butch Bennett, Maxine Root, and Faye Garnett.
A dignified cremation has been entrusted to Vensil – Wagner – Marshall Funeral Homes and a celebration of Bill’s life will take place at a later date.
