Max H. Bogle passed away on Friday, August 10th a few days shy of his 95th birthday.
Max was born August 13, 1929, in North Carolina to the late W.E. Bogle and the late Pearl Hines Bogle.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Ray Bogle; brothers, Jim Bogle and Joe Billy Bogle; sisters Gladys B. Frick, Betty B. Stamm, and Norma B. Barrett.
A service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle officiated by Reverend Leslee Wray. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.
Max lived his whole life in Albemarle, served our country in the Navy, and was a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill. He was a loving husband and caring father who in his spare time enjoyed wood carving and collecting. His faith and his family meant the world to him, and he will be greatly missed.
Survivors include son Benton and wife Alice, his daughter Pam Hurt and her husband Mark, his son Brad and his wife Christy, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
