Max Hermann Obituary
He was a retired engineer who immigrated from Switzerland before the dawn of Sputnik and went on to work on every Apollo space mission. He and his wife, Mary Ann, who passed six months ago, raised their only son in New Hampshire. They called various places home, including Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and Luzern, Switzerland. He most recently lived in Baltimore.
He is survived by his son, Peter, of Baltimore, his daughter-in-law, Kristin Brady, his grand daughter-in-law, Elena, his sister, Erika Arni, of Switzerland, and three nieces. He is preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, Mary Ann, and his parents, Ernst and Lina Hermann of Switzerland.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Jan., 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Mitchell-Wiedefeld Funeral Home, 6500 York Road, Baltimore Md., 21212.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to cancer research. His wife died of cancer.
