President Hymas was very instrumental in reactivating my parents in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Which changed the course of my life. I am so grateful for his great example and service.

Max will be deeply missed. He and Mary were the first people we met when we moved to Coral Canyon. They were the best home teachers imaginable. We knew they genuinely cared.
So sorry I cannot attend his service. On a mission in Argentina.
Love to the Hyman family!

Max has been a good friend since Tooele Jr. High. I had been in his home many times and had conversations with Ruth and "Sheriff" Hymas. Wonderful, exceptional people.
Stake Conference had ended so Max and I got in the car and headed up Middle Canyon. It was early spring and there was still a lot of snow up there. We got stuck and had to walk home through the snow with our Sunday suits and shoes on. Another time we were trying to reach the T on the mountain in an automobile. It was steep and scary and Max was driving. I remember his
leg and foot on the accelerator were shaking badly. I'm grateful to him that we made it safely home.
Max got the prestigious Bausch and Lomb science award when we graduated from High School. I've had contact with him over the years since high school and I have always held him in high esteem as an intelligent and kind man of faith the devotion to his religious convictions. He has always been proud of the Richards name that he bore and well he should. He's a credit to that name which has been prominent in Church history.
And so we express our love for Max and Mary and all their family. It has been an honor to have known Max Richards Hymas.
