Reed, Max E. Age 84, of Hopkins, died peacefully on Nov. 6, 2007. Survived by wife, Alpha Reed; daughters, Diane Kukulaki, Gwyn Mahlberg, Gail Schmidt; sons, Guy (Beth) Reed, Courtney (Tanya) Reed, Jeff Flom, Scott (Cindy) Flom; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. Memorials preferred. Interment to follow service at 1:45 PM at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 12:00 PM, with visitation one hour prior at: Washburn-McReavy Strobeck Johnson Chapel 1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins 952 938-9020

I just learned of Max's passing.
My sympathy goes out to the entire family. I spent a lot of time around Max during my youth, and always enjoyed my uncles company, particularly when he was discharged from the army.

Max was one of the best bosses I ever had. He was funny and bright and fearcely protective of his staff. I always felt a part of his family and so I grieve with you at your loss. He was full of life and I will miss him and those sunny and bluegill fillets of his!
