Maxie Bernice Ballard Sharp

Maxie Bernice Ballard Sharp, age 89, of Marianna, died Friday, July 11, 2025, at the N.E.A. Hospital in Jonesboro.
Mrs. Sharp was born November 15, 1935, in Kensett, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Jim Ballard and Estell McGinnis Ballard. She lived in Marianna most of her life, was a retired bookkeeper for Jan Ridge Insurance in Marianna, was a member of the Junior Auxiliary, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marianna, where she was very active in many church activities and served on many church committees.
Mrs. Sharp married Joe Sharp in 1955, and he preceded her in death in 2000. She is survived by two daughters; Donna Wooten, and husband, Andy, of Marianna, and Joye Hughes, and husband, Jim, of Forrest City, four grandchildren; Drew, Natalie, Patton, and Lance, and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Marianna, 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, with burial in Marianna Memorial Park Cemetery in Marianna.
