Gone to soon...
John the second child to Leroy Sr. and Mary Earlean Poole, was born in Mobile, Alabama on December 13, 1948. Two years after John was born, the family moved to Cleveland, Ohio on 59th and Central. Where he met his childhood friends Tony, Bonton and Little James (The Termites). Although, Little James is No longer with us, Tony and Bonton remained friends until his passing.
John attended Central Jr. High school then went on to graduate from East Technical High School in 1967. After which, he began his lifelong career at NASA where he was a Mechanical Engineer. There he met many good friends John Setlock, Wendall, Harrison, John G., and Pablo just to name a few. John began working for NASA in 1967 and retired in 2008. He was a dedicated hard worker, who received several awards and accolades during his 40 years of service. John loved inventing, creating and fixing things. He was Very Intelligent! He Truly was a "Jack of all Trades".
John was affectionately known as BUD, Lew, Johnnie, Uncle Bud, and Cool Buddy Poole... and cool he was! John loved hanging out with his family and friends, doing what he loved best: shooting pool, crossword puzzles, playing cards, singing, dancing, and fishing. He met no strangers and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Bud's most favorite person was the love of his life Belinda Poole. He simply adored Belinda who everyone knows as Linda. There is a special Charisma between them. Bud and Linda have been together for 40 years. Bud and Linda were joined in marriage September 5th, 1998. These two were a match made in heaven and INSEPARABLE; If you saw Bud, you saw Linda. They loved bringing family and friends together doing what they loved best shooting pool and "crooning". Bud and Linda are the world's greatest host, always making sure everyone feels at home. But most importantly they were the world's greatest Uncle and Auntie. They take pride in their nieces and nephews, there is so many good memories at the Poole household.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents Leroy Poole Sr. and Mary Earlean Poole, his brothers L. Mussadiq Ahmad and Fred L. Poole, his father-in-law Raymond Williams, brothers-in-law, Sherman Williams, Rod Williams, Tony Williams, and one sister-in-law Marie Williams, his nephew Kristopher L. Hope and nieces, Shelia Carter and Lisa Renee Poole.
Bud leaves to cherish his loving wife Belinda Poole, sister Santina Hope (Ronnie) of Columbus, Ohio, mother-in-law Lizzie Williams, sisters-in-law, Carolynn Williams, Gloria Poole (Fred), Alesia Williams, Gloria Williams, and Hattie Ahmad, brothers-in-law, Ronnie L. Hope of Columbus, Ohio, Eric Williams, Dewayne Williams of Cleveland, Ohio, Raymond Williams Jr. of Lorain, Ohio, Chucky Williams of Minnesota, Ralph Davis of Texas, 19 nieces, 11 nephews, and a host of great nieces and great nephews. Let us not forget his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends: The Garners, The Borders, The Gores, and The Beynon's) etc.... Also, friends that became brothers: Dreg, Chuck, and many others...
Bud Truly will be missed...

You were a great friend and talented co-worker. NASA Researchers greatly valued your design ingenuity. We could scratch something on paper and explain what we wanted, and the next day you would hand us something so much better than we could have imagined.
We shared more laughs than anyone could imagine.
NASA has not been the same since you retired.
what good memories.
