Maximiliano Calero

Maximiliano "Maxi" Calero, 69, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2024 surrounded by family.
Maximiliano was born in Lima, Peru, in 1955 and was the oldest of all his brothers and sisters.
He came to the United States in 1991, where he would meet his wife, Esperanza, and made Carteret, NJ his new home.
He was a beloved brother, husband, father, and grandfather. His life revolved around his children and family, and it is through them that he gained the strength to fight every battle life brought his way. He always kept a positive mindset and often spoke about all the things he would do and all the places he would visit. Even planning to learn Cantonese to be like Bruce Lee. Some of his favorite things were the Star Wars movies, Fleetwood Mac, his garden, and the beach. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him because of his kindness and welcoming personality. We ask that he be remembered for all the joy and laughs he brought whenever he came into a room.
Maximiliano is survived through his children: Alexander and wife, Deyra, Maximillian, and Rachael, his grandchildren: Denise and Jade, his brothers and sisters: Alfonso & Amelia, Luis, Wilfredo & Lucy, Miguel, Rosa & Roberto, Jenny & Luis Robles, and Amelia Zea, his In-laws: Elsa and Pablo Martinez, Doris and Wilfredo Rojas, Rosa and Jose Rodriguez, Luis Zarate, and Edgar Aguilera, several nieces and nephews, his loyal furry companion: Jackie (Jackie-Chan), and his loving wife: Esperanza.
He is reunited in heaven with his father, Maximiliano Calero Herrera and his mother, Gliceria Pacheco Villano.
Papi - May you run freely on the beach, forever. May the water always be the right temperature to dive in headfirst. May the flowers and vegetables and fruits of your garden never stop blooming. And may we never stop feeling how deeply you so loved us!
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret, NJ. Private Cremation will be held.
