Maxine Betts Obituary
Maxine "Mickie" Betts
Mickie was born on March 23, 1934, and passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 26, 2023. She was born to Alma and Elsie Billman in Buhl, Idaho. Mickie was one of five girls, her sisters include: Bernadine Matthews, Verda Dixon, Berna Alumbaugh and Merna Oliver.
In 1955 Mickie married Bill Wallace and they divorced after 40 years, they had two daughters, Barbara Johnson, and Elizabeth Chase, three grandsons Roy, Brad, and Chris.
Mickie met Roland Betts two years later, and they were married in Mountain Home, Idaho. Roland passed away in 2007. Roland was from Wales, and they enjoyed splitting their time between Wales and the United States. Roland and Mickie had a passion for music and were members of a large choir from England. They competed in the International Choir Festival. Mickie was well known for her many hats. While wearing one of her wild hats a group of young girls asked her if she was FAMOUS! requesting her AUTOGRAPH!
Mickie will be missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, 10:00 A.M. at to The First Congregational Unified Church of Christ, 515 E 15th N, Mountain Home, ID, United States, 83647.
