With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Maxine Clear, who passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, at the age of 64.

Born on April 8, 1961, in Saint Paul, MN, Maxine lived a life filled with compassion, strength, and deep love for her family. Her presence brought comfort, her words brought encouragement, and her heart gave endlessly.

She shared a beautiful life with her fiancé of 30 years, John Bergren, a journey filled with love, laughter, and countless treasured memories. Their enduring bond was a true testament to unconditional love and commitment.

Maxine was a proud mother to three children and a nurturing grandmother to five grandchildren. She found her greatest joy in the company of her family, offering help whenever needed, celebrating milestones, and filling every gathering with laughter, happiness, and her signature fun-loving competitive nature.

She will be remembered for her selfless heart, her warm hugs, her comforting words, and the way she made everyone feel loved. Her humble acts of kindness touched many lives, and her legacy will continue through the countless memories we carry in our hearts.

Maxine is survived by her fiancé, John Bergren, her children Mike (Amanda) Clear, John (Jessica) Clear, and Trisha (Mike) Pawelec, her grandchildren Austin, Alivianna, Brayden, Anthony, and Nash, her siblings Debbie (Dan), Linda (Rich), Maureen, Robert (Julia), and Marlene, as well as nieces/nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Biedler and Joyce Biedler Buckton, her brother Richard Biedler, as well as aunts and uncles.

Maxine will be laid to rest in a private burial service at Resurrection Cemetery with her immediate family. Her family warmly invites you to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 15th, from 1:00–5:00 PM at Jameson’s Tavern, located at 886 Smith Avenue S, West St. Paul, MN 55118. Please join us in sharing memories and honoring the life of this remarkable woman.

"In life, we loved you dearly; in death, we love you still. In our hearts, you hold a place no one else will ever fill". -Unknown
