Maxine Rae Justice (Kingston) passed away on August 28, 2025 in Cape Coral, FL, surrounded by those who loved her most. She was born on November 28, 1933, in Galena Township, Nebraska, to Roy and LaVerna Kingston, the eldest of their six children.

Maxine graduated from South Sioux City High School, where she met her partner in life, Frank Justice. Their marriage of 69 years was marked by devotion, adventure, and a family that became their proudest accomplishment.

Maxine lived in several places she came to call home, including Nebraska, California, and Iowa before retiring in Florida. In Cape Coral, she became an active part of Faith Presbyterian Church and the Newcomer Club, where her warmth and wit left a lasting impression on many.

To her loved ones, Maxine was the heart of every holiday and the source of countless cherished traditions. Her presence filled every room, her personality was as spirited as it was genuine, and her love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her best.

She is survived by her brother, Larry Kingston; son, Mike Justice and wife, Carroll King; daughters, Jean Brethauer and Jill Pulley; grandchildren, David Brethauer and wife Michelle, Matthew Brethauer and wife Britney, Shelby Levine and husband Greg; and great-grandchildren, Brantley, Hayden, Aurora, Willow, Ziggy, and Lila.

She was predeceased by her husband, parents and siblings: Jerry Kingston, Karen Bryant, Janice Patterson, and Lila Diaz.
