Maxine Kinson Obituary
Maxine Jeanette (Stanchak) Kinson,93, of Middlefield passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at UH Geauga Hospital. Maxine was born on June 25, 1930, to the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Merva) Stanchak in Salem, Ohio. She graduated from Parkman high school in 1948, and married Richard Kinson on August 28, 1948.
Maxine was a store manager for Middlefield Hardware and bookkeeper for the Harrington family for 28 years. She was also the owner of Maxine's Tot's & Teens. She was a member of the First United Methodist church of Middlefield, and involved in the Burton American Legion Auxiliary, and Middlefield and Parkman Historical society.
Maxine will be sadly missed by her family, daughter Susan Sullivan, daughter in law, Georgette Kinson, grandchildren, Michele Amato, Michael (Emily) Amato, Frank (Kelly)Sullivan, James (Tina) Sullivan, Jason Sullivan, Shannon (Lance) Portman, Molly Kinson, Shelly Kinson, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, sisters Lillian Schott, Sr.Elona Stanchak, and Marian Hickox and family, and her adopted family, James P. Mast, Lydiann, Sara and the Mast families, Freeman and Lena Detweiler and family and Eli Barb Burkholder, and Barb Bailey. Beside her husband Richard and her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Gary Kinson, and siblings Elizabeth, Catherine, Marcella, Helen, Dick, Albert, Paul, John and Robert.
Calling house will be on Monday November 6, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 PM. at Sly Family Funeral Home 15670 W. High Street Middlefield. The Funeral will be on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Wilson officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Middlefield Cemetery.
