Maxine Griffin Love was born on October 9, 1938 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Landous and Lela Haggard Griffin.
On December 24, 1960, she was united in marriage to William Royce Love, who preceded his wife in death on September 25, 2009.
Maxine worked as a bookkeeper by trade and worked for various businesses in Savannah, Tennessee throughout her career. Her longest and most recent employment was for the office of Dr. Jerry D. Rogers, where she worked from 1992 until her retirement in 2019. She loved going to church when her health allowed and attended Spirit and Truth Sanctuary in Adamsville, Tennessee. Maxine loved to cook and bake for her family and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered by her family as a very Godly woman and mother.
Maxine Griffin Love departed this life on September 25, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 85 years, 11 months, and 16 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Anette Love Shelby and her husband Mike of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Jeff Love and his wife Mary of Hardin County, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brittney Shelby, Emily Shelby Bobo and her husband Chris, Hannah Love-Cupples and her husband Zac, Madison Love-Fielder and her husband Jason, and Sarah Beth Love; and great grandchildren, Jack Bobo and Lilly Bobo.
In addition to her husband and parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her sister, Frankie Walker and an infant twin brother, Eugene Griffin.
