Maxine Duncan Lutner age 84 of Lake City, Tennessee passed away on February 18, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Anderson County on January 30, 1942, to the late Dewey Duncan and Marie Wright. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Clinch River Baptist Church. She loved embroidery, baking, cooking, and gardening. Maxine is preceded in death by her parents Dewey Duncan and Marie Wright Duncan, her husband Jerry Nelson and Hugh Lutner, Brothers Terry Duncan, Bobby Duncan, Clayton Duncan and sisters Sue Price, Debrah Jean Duncan, Charlene Mobley, Shirley Chestine Byrge, and Ava Yocum. She is survived by:
Sons Gerald Nelson of Tazwell
Dale Nelson of Lake City
Daughter Maria Greenman of Andersonville
Sisters Pat Ford of Knoxville
Charlotte Duncan of Knoxville
Grandchildren Joshua Greenman, Jamie Wolfenbarger, Jessica Nelson, David Nelson, Marena Hayman, Kristyl Culanggo, Jaspher Culanggo, Syblle Nelson
Great Grandchildren Madison, Gabriel, Noah, Kayleigh, Keylynn

Visitation: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, February 23, 2026 at Hatmaker Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 7:00 PM, Monday, February 23, 2026 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at the Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Oak Ridge.
