Maxine Sharp Rogers, a vibrant soul with a larger-than-life personality, passed away on November 25, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona. Born on September 2, 1942, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Maxine brought love and joy into the lives of everyone who had the privilege to know her.

A devoted daughter to her parents, Edward and Diana Mendoza, who preceded her in death, Maxine carried with her the values of kindness and care instilled in her through a nurturing upbringing. As a registered travel agent and the owner of Sharp Travel Center, she dedicated her career to helping others experience the beauty of the world around them. Her work was more than just a profession; it was an extension of her loving spirit, as she delighted in crafting unforgettable journeys.

Maxine was not only a caring professional but also a remarkable homemaker whose love for cooking filled her home with warmth and laughter. She embraced life fully, whether it was through her exquisite culinary creations or her adventurous travel escapades around the globe with her beloved family. The memories of these travels were cherished treasures that she held dear, sharing stories filled with joy and wonder.

Her passion extended beyond travel; Maxine had a profound love for animals and nature. She adored her pets; two horses, her faithful dogs Honey and Rocky, and Pepe, her cherished bull. Each animal was not merely a pet, but a companion woven into the fabric of her life, reflecting her nurturing spirit and love for all living creatures. Additionally, she found joy among her plants, cultivating life in every form with her characteristic devotion.

Maxine’s family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her loving husband, Curtis W. Rogers, her son, William A. Sharp (Martha Chavez Sharp), and her daughters, Sandra Skaparas and Lisa Conlon. Each moment spent with them was a testament to her commitment to living every day as her best, a legacy that she passed on to her children. She loved and treasured her beloved caretakers Jose Manuel Valdez, Maria del Rosario Corral, Manuel Figueroa for whom she is forever grateful.

Her vibrant social circles included her cherished cousins; Anita Cieslowski, Patricia Esposito, and Christine Henry, along with her dear friends known affectionately as "The Queen Bees" and "The Sonoran Song Circle". Among these friendships, her bond with her best friend, Julie Arma, stood out as a particular source of joy and mutual support.

Maxine Sharp Rogers leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity. Her adventurous spirit and caring nature inspired those around her, creating a ripple effect of positivity that will be felt for years to come. As we remember her, may the stories of her travels, the warmth of her cooking, and the laughter shared among her family and friends remain alive in our hearts.
