Maxine Shields, cherished wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024 at the age of 77.
Mrs. Shields was a daughter of the late Mack Wilson and Drucilla Haggard Wilson. She retired from Dr. Oh B. Kwon's office and was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Garney "Junior" Shields, Jr.; son, Tim Shields (Tina); grandchildren, Kayla Jones (Wesley) and Brittany Shields (Aaron Palermo); great-grandchildren, Micah, Addy and Olivia; sister, Phyllis Bryant (Clayton) and nephew, Billy Singleton.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 4, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville with Rev. Terry Smith and Rev. Jeff Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Billy Singleton, Billy Culbertson, Jerry Drake, Clayton Bryant, Harold Vaughn and Tony Jordan. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 am until service time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cemetery Fund at Providence Baptist Church, 210 Providence Church Road, Danielsville, GA 30633.
