Maxine Tircuit Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 26, 2023.
Maxine Antoinette Tircuit was born on March 26, 1940 in Donaldsonville, LA to the union of the late Willie A. Francis and the late Florida Richard Francis. She was the second eldest of 10 children. She graduated from St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic High School and moved to New Orleans to attend Xavier University of LA. She met and fell in love with her future husband, Aaron J. Tircuit. They married and had three sons, Jason (Karyn), Darin (Toyia) and Mallory (Kendra)affectionately called Peter.
Maxine loved her sons, seafood, God and her family. One of her favorite bible scriptures was "As for me and My household, we will serve the Lord!" Joshua 24:15 She was strong, independent, fierce, determined, no non-sense and not afraid to say what was on her mind. She took great pride in how she raised her boys. She was a strict disciplinarian; a hard worker and about business. She enjoyed playing Pokeno, puzzles and word games to keep her mind sharp; watching Family Feud with Steve Harvey, making floral arrangements, knitting, sewing and cooking healthy food.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Lionel Francis and Linda Francis Julien. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons and their wives, grandsons Andrew and Xavier Tircuit and Asia Tircuit, siblings, Joanne Ricardo (Wayne), William Francis (Eloise), Stanley Francis (Gayle), Alicia Jones (John), Claudia Francis, Fareed Shakir (Hin), Kenneth Francis and brother-in-law, Leonard Julien, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank Touro Hospital, Dr. Zaccaria, Heart of Hospice, the Sisters Servants of Mary, Fr. Ajani Gibson, Tara Picard and Patrice Adams for their tireless dedication and service to our beloved "Queen Maxine."
Thanks to our family and friends for their support, prayers and encouragement and Thanks be to God for the wonderful gift that He bestowed on us with the Life and Legacy of Maxine Francis Tircuit.
"I fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them that love his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7
