Publish in a newspaper

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Maxine Weinert on August 27, 2025. Born on January 11, 1936, in Round Top, TX. Maxine lived a life full of love, strength, and resilience. Her gracious spirit and kind heart were beloved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son Todd Weinert, and daughter Tammie James. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her grandsons; Kyle and wife Catie, Nicholas, Lucas, Jacob and wife Yolanda Brown, Noah and Erik James, Brandon Barrett and wife Lexi in addition to her cherished granddaughters; Farrin Weinert Green and husband Christopher, Ashlyn Weinert, and Brianna Barrett and several great-grandchildren. Brother Jerry Sacks, niece Jennifer Parr and husband Chris, and great-nephew Keller. Uncles Fred Weber and Curvey Weber and wife Jean, as well as numerous cousins.

Maxine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Weinert, her parents, Dennis and Delia Sacks, in-laws Herbert and Norma Weinert, sister-in-law Suzanne Sacks, daughter-in-law Alicia Weinert, son-in-law Sam James, grandson Joshua Brown, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Their reunion marks the end of an era but the beginning of another chapter in heaven.

Maxine's life will be celebrated through a Funeral Service to be held on September 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top, Texas followed by the burial at Florida Chapel Cemetery. A light luncheon will be served at the educational building at Bethlehem Lutheran Church following the burial. In these moments of loss and sadness, let us remember Maxine not with the sorrow of her departure, but with the brightness of her life, the laughter and love she brought into our lives.

May her soul rest in peace and may the memories of her guide us to live our lives with the same resilience, love, and grace that she did.

Donations can be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top, TX.
