Age 34, of Verona, unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, Max was welcomed into the warm embrace of his dear mother, Lori Schofield and brother, Jesse Schofield who awaited him on the other side of the clouds. He is the son of Richard Schofield; Brother of Rick (Brandi) Schofield, Sam (Courtney) Fletcher, Walter "JR" Butts, and Amy (Shane) Smith; Uncle of Lucas, Santina, Alyssa, Chance, Julien, Jesse, Khloe, Henry and Liam. Max was an avid outsdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing and was a firearms enthusiast. A lover of all animals, Max even rescued his beloved pet racoon, Rocket. Friends received, Saturday, 4:00 until Celebrant Service at 6:00pm, at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd./Roth Chapel, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Hope 4 Inc., 2000 Commerce Loop, Suite 2200, North Huntingdon, PA 15642.
