Middletown, RI - May (Littlefield) Bacon, 84, of 596 East Main Road, Middletown, RI, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at home with her family. She was the wife of the late Carlton F. Bacon, for 50 years. Born in Jamestown, RI, on March 31, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Glass and Regina (Turick) Littlefield. Mrs. Bacon worked as an officer manager for 30 years at the Newport Animal Hospital for Dr. Domenic Munafo, after her children were grown. She was a member of Sachuest Garden Club, and the Morning Glory Bowling League at Aquidneck Lanes. She loved caring for her gardens and was recognized by many Garden Clubs for her touch. Mrs. Bacon enjoyed travelling, skiing, and was the best horse show and little league mom. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth B. Gagne, Andrew C. Bacon and Priscilla A. McCarthy and her husband Kevin all of Middletown, RI, her siblings, Regina Gagne of Jamestown, RI, Adolf Littlefield of East Providence, RI and Joseph Littlefield and his wife Theresa of Jamestown, RI, and three grandchildren, Daniel J. McCarthy, Bela V. Bacon and Baron V. Bacon and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George Littlefield, Frederick Littlefield, Sophie Ragland and Priscilla Reniszewski. Her funeral and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Services of South Eastern Massachusetts, 502 Bedford Street, Fall River, MA 02720 or to the Middletown Education Collaborative, 1100 Aquidneck Avenue, Middletown, RI 02842.
