She was born in Byron on March 30, 1951 to Roy and Carrie (McLure) Doughtery.
May is survived by four children, Barton (Dr. Lucile) Bavers of Levering, Dr. David (Dr. Elizabeth) Bavers of Dexter, Kevin Bavers of East Jordan and Emily Shull, living in the country of Jordan; four grandchildren, Phillip Bavers, Alexander Bavers, Isabella Bavers and Evangeline Bavers; and a brother, Roger (Marilyn) Doughtery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Carrie; an infant daughter, Carrie and two brothers, Roy and Larry.
