Maya Rani Sinha

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Maya Rani Sinha on December 25, 2024. Born on November 6, 1942, in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, Maya graced our lives with her loving and spirited nature for 82 beautiful years. Her resilient spirit and compassionate heart shone brightly in every aspect of her life, leaving a profound impact on everyone she met. Residing in East Brunswick, New Jersey for the past three years, Maya became a cherished member of the community, her vibrant personality and endearing warmth making her a cherished friend to many.
Maya was a beacon of love and wisdom, having dedicated a significant part of her life to educating children. Her career as a teacher was not just a profession, but a calling, a testament to her innate desire to guide and illuminate young minds. As Helen Keller once said, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Maya embodied this sentiment, touching countless lives with her wisdom and love.
Maya is survived by her daughters, Nitu Sinha and Vandana Ramani, her sons-in-law, Amiya Sinha and Ramannidhar Ramani, and her grandchildren, Seharsh Baxi, Shaurya Baxi, Shradha Nair, Sidharth Nair, Saksham Prakash, and Dinu D, her grandson-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, Krishna Sinha, her son, Anupam Prakash, and her parents, Gorakh and Surat Devi Srivastava.
Maya's legacy lives on in the hearts of her loved ones and the countless lives she touched during her remarkable life. Her memory will forever be a guiding light, her love a comforting embrace, and her spirit a testament to the strength and beauty of the human spirit.
