Loving mother of James and the late John Roehm. Preceded in death by her brothers, Malvern (Adele) and Maurice Mueller (Edna) and brothers-in-law Ernest, John (Isabelle) and Frederick Roehm (Shirley). Survived by sister-in-law Mildred Roehm. Mazi was confirmed at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Columbia, IL and married there in 1952. She graduated from Deaconess School of Nursing in 1948, serving proudly as an RN, first in bedside nursing and later as Director of Utilization Review at Deaconess Hospital.

The Newports, especially Mer, who graduated from Deaconess with Mazi, and the Koppens, were also family.

She built her life around Christian Faith, love of family and friends, and her professional career. Mazi was filled with kindness, compassion and love, bringing goodness to all she did and everyone she touched.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. Psalm 16:6

Services: Private services and interment were held on May 21.

Mazi supported numerous charitable organizations including the Salvation Army, Missouri Botanical Garden and Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. She would be honored by anyone choosing to support these organizations, or a charity of their choice, in her memory.

We were very saddened to hear of Mazi's passing last week. We have had the honor and pleasure of living across the street from the Roehm's for over 30 years. Al and Mazi were great neighbors and role models to us and we will miss them dearly. Now, Al and Mazi are together again for all eternity. Their memory will never be forgotten. RIP.
