Maynard DeFriece Obituary
Mr. DeFriece was born September 4, 1937, in Marion, VA, son of the late John Franklin DeFriece and Jessie Lean Austin DeFriece. A veteran of service in the U.S. Air Force, he was employed for many years as a long-haul truck driver for Dahl and Marten Transport.
Survivors include his daughter, Sherri DeFriece of Villa Rica, GA; son, Kenneth Robert Shreves of Charlottesville, VA; sisters, Sylvia DeFriece and Norma Gray, both of Maryland; brother, David DeFriece of Arizona; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. DeFriece was proceeded in death by his wife of 37 years Shirley Lynne DeFriece, his son Lamonte Franklin DeFriece, and his brother Clifford DeFriece.
The family is honoring Mr. DeFriece's wishes that a memorial service not be held.
