LAGRANGE - Maynard G. "Lefty" Warble, 93, of LaGrange, Indiana, died on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He was born on Oct. 10, 1931, In Stroh, Indiana, to Russell B. and Maebelle (Malone) Warble.
Lefty served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy from February 1950 to November 1953.
On Oct. 25, 1950, he married Sharon Rose McLain. She preceded him in death on March 22, 2019.
Lefty retired as a mechanic at Weiss Trucking in Mongo, Indiana. He was also an avid motorcyclist.
Surviving Maynard are his three daughters-in-law, Virginia Warble, of LaGrange, Indiana, Lynn Warble, of West Lafayette, Indiana, and Marlene Warble, of Sturgis, Michigan; a son-in-law, Stanley Schemahorn, of LaGrange, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Preceding Maynard in death were his parents; a wife, Sharon in 2019; a daughter, Mary Schemahorn in January 2025; three sons, Alan Warble in 1997, David Warble in 2020, and Chris Warble in 2023; a granddaughter, Carrie Schemahorn in 2002; a sister, Dorothy Gose in 2011; and two brothers, Lewis Warble in 1996, and Claude Warble in 2007.
In accordance with Maynard's wishes, cremation is taking place.
His cremains will be buried at Trinity Cemetery, Pleasant Lake, Indiana, with his wife.
