Medardo Alviar Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Castillo Funeral Home on Oct. 25, 2025.
Medardo Gustavo Alviar, also known as "Lalo", was born on February 14, 1962 in San Antonio ,Texas. He is proceeded in death by his father, Ramiro T. Torres Sr, and biological father Valentin Martinez. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Guajardo, his mother Santa E. Gonzalez; his daughters Shanelle Alviar, Valerie, Marie Garcia, and Joslin Jade Orona; grandchildren, Elijah E.Alviar, Jayden J. Orona, Alynna J. Orona, Jayla G. Orona, Isaiah E. Garcia and mother, Santa E. Gonzalez. He also had six sisters, two brothers and lots of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He was a man defined as,"a heart of gold." He asked for very little and gave everything he could in return. When he loved, he loved hard. He was the life of the party and always wanted his loved ones together in one room. His smile and laughter were contagious. His stories were the best, even if he told them a hundred times. If you ask who Lalo was, you may have heard that he was stubborn, funny, crazy, giving, and so much more, but the best thing about him was his heart. He was the hardest worker since he was a young boy. If he didn't know how to do something he would find a way to learn and excel at it at it because he was all or nothing. He took pride in his work, but even more pride in loving his family. He adored all his grandchildren. When he spoke about his grandchildren, he always had a big smile on his face and bragged about how amazing they were, just like him he'd say. He was a father to three girls who he also adored dearly and also took care of his siblings like his own. He loved his wife through it all and adored his mom immensely. He loved to have a good time and he was definitely the biggest cowboy fan. He was a jokester, there was never a dull moment when he was around.

Lalo was a fighter till the end and always stood for what he believed in and what he wanted. So for now ,It's not a goodbye ,Just a,"see you later alligator "as he would say. May his memories and character continue to live on in our mind, soul and hearts.
