Megan Marie Brower

Megan Marie Brower, 34, went home to be with Jesus on December 24, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family. Megan was born on February 22, 1987 to her parents Steve and Sharon VanWieren. Attending Cornerstone University in 2005, Megan met her future husband Christian in the spring of 2008. After being married October of 2009, Megan and Christian trusted in their God to move to Traverse City to continue their life and ministry. Megan loved ministry in the form of prayer groups, hospitality, and even Awana. She was a constant spiritual encourager to the doctors and nurses she encountered over the years. Her biggest ministry though, was to her family and children, who would catch her daily reading her morning devotions by the fire. Megan epitomized Romans 12, as she was always joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. Megan is survived by her loving husband Christian, daughter Charlotte, son Jonah, parents Steve and Sharon VanWieren, Brother Mark (Liz) VanWieren, In-Laws Steve and Jan Brower, In-law siblings Ben (Jen) Brower, Aaron (Mary) Brower, David (Jenn) Brower, Brent (Anna) Standfest, Jamie (Sarah) McCauley, and 17 nieces and nephews as well as many other loving family members and friends. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-8 PM December 28 at New Hope Community Church. Funeral Services will take place at 11 AM Wednesday, December 29 at New Hope with visitation 1 hour prior. Memorial Contributions in memory of Megan may be directed to New Hope Community Church Missions or Mission India. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kalkaska Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
