Megan Mee Yung McAllister passed away unexpectedly at her home in Lebanon, Ohio on November 7, 2025. She was born on March 9, 1987, in Masan, South Korea and was placed in the loving arms of her parents on July 27, 1987. Megan was truly a gift from God and was a beloved daughter to her parents, Michael and Liz McAllister.
Megan graduated from Wilmington High School in 2005. Throughout all four years of high school, she swam on the high school swim team as well as the YMCA team. She was also active in musical theatre productions, art competitions, and show choir. Following high school, Megan graduated from Cincinnati State and the Culinary Institute of America where she received numerous awards. Megan served in various positions as an Executive Chef in Cincinnati area restaurants and mentored culinary students over the years. Cooking was her passion, and she loved creating dishes at home and in the restaurants she served.
Megan had a beautiful spirit and was driven and hardworking. She excelled at everything she put her mind on and was a very talented artist. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and putting together mechanical structures. She loved music and had a beautiful voice. Above all, she loved her dog, Bahmi, who was her constant companion.
In addition to her parents, Megan is survived by her brother Patrick McAllister, sister in law Bethany McAllister and nephews, Kai and Brody McAllister. Also, two very special cousins, Gabe Mills and Brigitta Mills.
The family may receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, November 14, 2025 followed by a service at the Presbyterian Church of Wilmington, 840 Timber Glen Dr, Wilmington, OH with Rev. Jay Kim officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.
Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington has been entrusted with the arrangements.
If desired, contributions in Megan's memory may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Wilmington or any food pantry.
