Megan Yeager Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stith Funeral Homes - Florence on Jul. 19, 2024.
Megan Elizabeth Yeager (neé: Michael), 32, of Walton, Kentucky, entered into rest on Thursday, July 18, 2024. Megan was born and raised in Northern KY. She attended Boone County High School, and she graduated from NKU with a Bachelor's degree in psychology, which she used in her career helping those who were not able to help themselves. She worked for nearly 10 years at North Key, and she was very passionate about her job. Her strong work ethic shines through the many people she helped throughout her career. Megan enjoyed art, music, canoeing, being outdoors, and attending concerts. She also had a passion for all animals, giving many cats and dogs a safe and loving home throughout her life. But above all, and most importantly, Megan was a wonderful mom who adored her children and would do anything for them. Her care and love for her kids were evident in all aspects of her life. Whether it was play time, craft time, or homework time, Megan was a loving and devoted mother. Whether going to the zoo, the aquarium, or various local parks, Megan found great fulfillment in going on adventures with her children. From tennis to T-ball to dance to archery, Megan made sure her kids had access to many opportunities for fun and healthy enrichment. It didn't matter if it was a spontaneous s'mores party in the backyard, or a trip to Indianapolis to see the eclipse – Megan's greatest joy was spending time with her kids and laughing with them. Megan will be remembered as a kind-hearted, gentle, and loving family member and friend. Her light carries on in those she is survived by: She is survived by: parents, Gene and Susan Michael; husband, Tim Yeager; children, Paige, Logan, and Piper Yeager; sister, Christina Michael; grandparents, Gene Michael, Sr. and Dortha Michael; aunts, Melanie Moore, Brenda Michael, and Rose Everman-Schuchart; mother-in-law, Dora Yeager; and numerous other, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. Megan will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at GracePointe Community Church of the Nazarene, 1438 Cox Avenue, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018, beginning at 2:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Stith Funeral Home is serving the family. I collaborated for many years with Megan with mutual clients in the special needs community. She was always deeply passionate about advocating for our folks and was so dedicated to helping them live their best quality lives. She was a wonderful person and will be deeply missed. Please accept my deepest condolences and revel in all the memories and positivity she brought to the world. Megan was caring, empathetic, and genuine. I only knew her in a work sense as a case manager, but connected with her nonetheless. My condolences to the family, along with healing vibes. Learning of her passing is heartbreaking.

Dear Susan,

Please accept my deepest, heartfelt condolences for your and your entire family's incredible loss.

As Rose's good friend, I had the opportunity to meet Megan when she was around 7 or 8 years old. Rose brought Becky back for a visit, and Megan was with them when we all went to the butterfly show at Krohn Conservatory. It was a bright, warm day. The girls had orange slices or halves to attract the butterflies. They had a lot of fun there. I can still see Megan with butterflies landing on her. Whenever I see a butterfly, I'll think of Megan.
