Our beautiful mother, daughter, sister, and friend passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2023, after a long battle with diabetes. She was born September 16, 1975 in Payson, Utah to Paul A. Gonzales and Rose Ann Lopez. She grew up in Santaquin and graduated from Payson High School then went on to graduate from cosmetology school. She loved the outdoors, camping hunting and fishing with her family. Melanie was known to have the biggest heart and to be the sweetest person anyone had ever met, never had an unkind word to say about anyone. She loved her family and lived for her kids, they were everything to her.
Melanie is survived by her parents, Paul (Janine) Gonzales of Santaquin Utah, Rose Ann (Russell) Wilkes of Salem Utah, her four children, Chase Muniz, Breck Muniz, Mia Martinez, Cash Martinez, one brother Laramie Gonzales and a niece, Haley Gonzales. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
A viewing will be held Friday, January 20th 2022, at 12:00 - 1:45 p.m. at Brown Family Mortuary, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, Utah. A graveside service and burial will immediately follow at the Payson City Cemetery.
