She was born October 24, 1971 in Detroit Lakes Minnesota to parents Merlin Stone and Jeanetta Jones.
During her life Melanie loved attending Powwows, and taking care of her much-loved kitties. She was an avid gamer often playing a variety of games on her tablet. Above all else though, she loved spending time with her family and many friends. She was deeply loved and missed greatly but will be remembered always and never forgotten.
Melanie is preceded in death by her mother: Jeanetta Jones; son: Randall Jones; grandmothers: Francis Rock, Dorothy Axdahl; uncle: David Axdahl; brother: Paul Stone; aunts: Sandra Levy, Mary Beckett; and cousin: Donne Bunker.
Melanie is survived by her father: Merlin Stone; daughters: Melinda Jones (Andrew Lundon), Melissa Jones (Aaron Stevens), Meleena Matias-Jones (Raiden P.); sons: Robert Jones, Robin Matias-Jones; sisters: Jamie Jones (Mark Foster), Kerry Padgett; brothers: William Jones. Matt Beckett, Philip Stone; nieces: Vanessa Jones, Heather Romero (Jared Keezer); nephews: Ed Romero (Tanya Smith), Chris Romero; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
