I was a volunteer at the Union Township Animal Shelter where Mel, like she wanted to be called, last worked. She was an excellent worker there! She loved the animals and she formed deep relationships with many of them. When a job needed to be done, Mel was always ready to do it. She was always very friendly too. She made a point to reach out to everyone there and make us feel welcome. Mel was a wonderful person and the animals, staff, and I will all miss her very much!

Just read the town's newsletter subscription. I didn't know her personally, but from the article's written words, I honor her service & life.

God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I will donate to the town EMT squad in her name.

And will continue to do so annually in her memory.
