Melba Jane McCann

Melba Jane McCann, the daughter of the late Lee Ernest Gray and Nellie Beatrice Harkey Gray, was born December 24, 1945.

She was a member of the Gideon High School graduating class of 1964. She attended the Tatum Chapel

On January 2, 1988, in Grand Bay, AL, she was united in marriage to Lawrence "Larry" McCann. He preceded her in death on August 2, 2002.

Mrs. McCann died Monday, January 16, 2026, in Gideon, MO, at the age of 80 years.

Her survivors include 1 son, Randal Hensley (Sarah) of Malden, MO; 1 sister, Patricia Smith of Jackson, MO; 3 sisters-in-law, Effie Hensley of Risco, MO, Evelyn Gray of Fredrick Town, MO and Carol Gray of Malden; 1 granddaughter, Brittany Terrell of Malden and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Nellie Gray; 1 sister, Ernestine Trout; 3 brothers, Willard Gray, Dale Gray and Gary Gray and 1 infant daughter, Cynthia Jane Hensley.

A visitation will be held at 12:00 P.M., Friday, January 23, 2026, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M., in the chapel, with Gary Long officiating and Steven Gray assisting. Burial will be in the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, MO.
