Tammy McCann Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Evans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services - Parkville on Feb. 13, 2026.
The beloved Tammy L. McCann of Baldwin, Maryland, passed away on February 10, 2026.

Born in Glen Burnie, Maryland on March 23, 1971, to James McCann and Dale (Hasselhoff) McCann. Tammy graduated from Old Mill High school in 1989, where shortly afterwards her career in aviation began at Catonsville Community College taking instruction courses in aviation.

While in high school Tammy started her own janitorial business, McCann Janitorial, that still successfully operates today from 1989. Tammy enjoyed the simple things in life. Sitting by a lake, spending time with family, sitting by the campfire, and her love for horses.

In Tammy's lifetime she was in beauty pageants, a captain on corporate jets, a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines, and a self-made entrepreneur.

Tammy was more than devoted every day, and she strived for excellence. She was named Top Women-Owned Businesses in 2015, again in 2016, the 25 Fastest-Growing Women-Owned Companies in Greater Baltimore in 2021, and many more business achievement awards.

Tammy was the devoted daughter of Dale McCann and the late, James McCann. She was a cherished mother to Amy Gnau and Charlie Gnau. A loving fiancé to Scott Andrews, and the former spouse of Chip Gnau.

She was a loving sister to Annette McCann, and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Tammy will be remembered by her beautiful smile, passion for her family and business, and the light she brought into the lives of everyone she touched.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Tammy's life at the family-owned Evans Life Celebration Home -8800 Harford Road, Parkville MD, 21234, for a visitation on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, from 1-3pm and 5-7pm. A prayer service will conclude the visitation, at 7pm.
