Melburn Oscar Marsh

MELBURN O. MARSH age 87 of Crossville, TN passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025. He was born April 28, 1938 in Lenior City, TN the son of Oscar and Henrietta Poole Marsh. He was a mechanic for 70 years, but his true passion was farming and coon hunting. You couldn't go into a room that he was in without feeling drawn to him. You would always be hearing about anything from tractors to coon hunting. He truly never met a stranger because once you met him it would feel like you had known him your whole life. He wasn't just a father and a husband. He was a Papaw, a mentor and a true friend that will truly be missed.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years- Sandra G. Marsh, son- Melburn O. Marsh II and his wife Shannon, grandchildren- Christopher Rush, Braiden Marsh and Madison Parrent, brother- Tommy Marsh and his wife Carol and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers- Ted, Dewey, Dennis, Donald and Milton, sisters- Gail, Linda and Brenda and grandson- Brendan Marsh.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 13, 2025 at 1pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11am-1pm two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
