Melicia Lynn Claxton Bowling age 44, departed this life on January 16, 2026. She was born on November 16, 1981. Melicia enjoyed helping people and had a servants heart. She attended High Point Baptist Church. She had such a generous spirit and loved Jesus above all. She loved her family, especially her granddaughter Emma, who brought her great joy. She will be dearly missed but always remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
She was preceded in death by her Husband: Christopher David Bowling; Sister-in-law: Joan Phillips; Grandparents: Delmar Claxton, Theron and Louis Phillips.
She is survived by her Children: Kyle Bowling and wife Megan, and Riley Bowling (Jack); Parents: Kenny and Lois Phillips; Brother: Scotty Phillips; Sister: Brandie Wisner and husband Chris; Granddaughter: Emma Bowling; Grandmother: Wilma Claxton; Nephews: Wyatt Wunderlin (Kayla), Wesley Wunderlin (Haley), Christian Wisner; Nieces: Jonnie Wisner, Jayden Wisner, and Josie McClure (Zander); Great-Nephew: Xavier Wunderlin; Special Cousins: Lucas Claxton, Briella Lawson, and Lukas Smith; and many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville with Bro. Kevin Sexton and Bro. Jamie Byrd officiating. Music to be provided by Jamie and Toni Byrd. Burial will follow in the Daniel Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Wyatt Wunderlin, Wesley Wunderlin, Lucas Claxton, Hayden Byrge, Tristen Henry, and Joey Paulsen. Honorary Pallbearer: Justin Lawson
