Larry Richard West, 79 of Huntsville, TN transitioned to his heavenly home on March 8, 2026, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Most recently, he was awarded "Person of the Year" by the Independent Herald / Scott County Chamber of Commerce. He served on many state and special interest committees to improve both local and special interest policies. His desire was always to improve the lives of citizens in our community and to make things better for all. He was a member of White Rock Baptist Church where he served in many roles. He was a Christian man who loved our Lord and Savior, and strived to live his life in a manner that was pleasing to God as according to His word; provider, protector and spiritual leader of his home. His favorite bible verse was 2 Corinthians 3:17: "… where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."

He is survived by the love of his life, Bonnie Keeton West of 58 years. Together, their marriage was built on marital devotion, respect, faith, and commitment with a foundation of Jesus Christ.
