Melissa J. (Scott) Byndom was born on November 3, 1954, in Charleston, South Carolina and raised in San Diego, California to her parents, John Scott and Mary Scott. She entered into eternal life on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the age of 71. She graduated from Morse High School in San Diego, CA after high school she pursued a career as a Registered Nurse and City College in San Diego.

Melissa was avid at softball, volleyball, lacrosse and track. Melissa love to crochet and also sewing she love playing dominoes and spades when melissa played spades they called her quiet storm because you will never see her coming. Melissa will be remembered for her sense of humor, her nurturing spirit, outspoken personality and her beautiful smile and being a loving mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, cousin, godmother and friend. Melissa will always be loved and never forgotten.

Melissa had her first child: Willie Watson in 1975. She later married Dennis R. Byndom Sr., and they have 4 children together: Dennis R. Byndom Jr., Melissa Estis, Melitta Byndom, Dennard Byndom; Melissa has 19 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; Melissa was preceded in death by her parents; John and Mary Scott and Sister's Mona Lisa Scott, Medessa Scott her surviving siblings Marlette Bussey, John Scott Jr., Marcelle Scott, Jonathan Scott, Mary Sexton, Mardeet Scott, Jurard Scott.

Melissa special friend: Dwayne Allen Best Friend's Leona, Karla, Penny, Ron and a host of family and friends that she truly loved.

Visitation for Melissa will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, beginning at 12:00 P.M. and will be held until the time of the Home Going Service at 2:00 P.M. at the Refreshing Place, 2500 Nebraska Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43607 with pastor Gary Black officiating.
