Melissa "Missi" Faith Lopez, 46, of Danville passed away Saturday, June14, 2025. Missi was born in Harrodsburg on August 22, 1978, to Pauline Holmes and James Lopez.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughters: Madison Eades of Maryland and her father, Steven Eades, and Mia Blackburn of Danville and her father, Scott Blackburn; brothers: James (Tracy) Lopez, Jr., Michael Lopez, and Robert (Dana) Holmes, all of Danville, and David Lopez and AJ Lopez of Hustonville; sisters: Tami (Shane) Wilson of Danville, Amanda (Mackenzie) Mitchell and Ashley Lopez of Stanford, Curstain (Seth) Wheatley of Lexington, and Suzanne Scharklet of Danville.
Missi was the lovable and fun Aunt Mimi to a LOT but her relationship with Blake Lopez (Mary Houston), Miranda Chilton (Derek), Sophia Wilson, Blakelynn, Ellie, Rue, and Max was second to none. She loved making them laugh and capturing them on camera.
She was preceded in death by her stepdad who was like her dad, Curtiss Holmes; brother, Daniel Lopez, and sister-in-law, Candace.
Missi always had a smile and made everyone feel seen. She loved spending time with her girls, watching "Friends", drinking coffee, and playing with her dogs, Lady and Roscoe.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 6:00 PM at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors beginning at 5:00 PM until the time of the service. Missi's favorite color was green, so the family has requested that everyone wear green or bright colors to the service.
W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
