Melissa Anne McGlaun, a constant source of grace and goodness, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. Born on June 1, 1973, in Palestine, Texas, Melissa's life was a testament to the power of love, compassion, and commitment to family.

Melissa's heart was always fullest when she was surrounded by her "chubby hubby" , Chris and her cherished children, Shelby, Bennett, Travis, Madeline, Katherine, Trey, and Amelia. Her role as a mother was one she embraced with every fiber of her being, instilling values of kindness and respect in her children. Melissa's unwavering support and boundless love for her family were the cornerstones of their home.

As the daughter of Jamie Ward and Dennis Ward and sister to Aaron Ward, Melissa was raised in a household that valued faith and community. Her Christian beliefs guided her through life's challenges and joys, and she often found solace and strength in her spiritual journey. Melissa's generous spirit was evident to all who knew her, as she consistently put the needs of others before her own, embodying the words of Scripture, "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35).

Melissa's array of interests painted the portrait of a woman with a zest for life and a curiosity for the world around her. She found joy in the simplest of pleasures, whether it was listening to music, spending time with her "4 leggers", or unwinding with a captivating crime documentary. Her thoughtful nature meant that she was always the first to offer a helping hand or a listening ear, and her legacy of kindness has left an indelible mark on her community.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Melissa will remember her as a woman whose faith-filled life was a living example of grace and compassion. A Celebration of Life service for Melissa McGlaun will be held at Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas 75801, on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 4:00 PM, with visitation immediately following until 6:00 PM. Your presence and support are deeply appreciated.
