Melissa Ann "Missy" Smith, age 58, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Medicalodge in Coffeyville.

Missy was born on August 16, 1967, in Coffeyville to Howard D. Smith, Sr. and Katherine Mae (Bruce) Nalley. She grew up in Coffeyville where she attended local schools. She loved music and dancing. She loved fairies and collecting butterflies and jewelry. Missy was the fun aunt that all the nieces and nephews loved to be around. She brought tons of love and laughter to all the family gatherings and trips. Missy loved the time she spent surrounded by her family and friends.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her son, Jonathan Cameron and Nathan Smith; three grandchildren; siblings, Howard Smith, Jr. and wife, Jody, Nancy Reeves, Anita Smith, Joe Smith and wife, Sheri, Robbie Smith, Toby Smith and wife, Marilyn; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, many extended family members and friends. Missy was preceded in death by her parents, Howard D. Smith, Sr. and Katherine Mae (Bruce) Nalley; siblings, Diana Ryan, Timothy Smith and Bradley Smith.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will hold a Memorial Services on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Activities Center in Coffeyville.

The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to David W. Barnes Funeral Home or to the family to help defray the cost of final expenses. These may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
